So, as many of you already know, your first Dingwall is usually not your last. At what point do you become a Dingaholic? After more than one? If you find yourself daydreaming about them constantly? When I got my ABII 5, I thought to myself, "this is my last bass". Little did I know. I'm now officially on the waiting list for #3 which will be an SJ5 for which I placed an order earlier this week. Now the grueling wait begins!

So I would say they're like bass-heroin, potentially addictive after the first try. :P  Mark
3TS tort PG[/quote:vgs8fees] Close. I almost went with that but changed it up at the last minute. To me four classics would be: black, 3-tone sunburst, white and natural.

I think you'd love a 3 tone sunburst with no PG (no PG rating here, were all Eponymous Ding-aholics!!!)
Or an Oly and tort SJ-5? Mark[/quote:x9tj5s8b] We have a winner (no prize...)! Olympic white, tortoise shell pickguard, morado board, matching headstock. For me, a Jazz doesn't look quite right without a pickguard.

Well, I've always wanted a Jazz-style bass and I knew if I went with something other than Dingwall, I would regret not having gone with it. Also, once I make a decision, I don't like to wait so I wanted to make sure I placed my order before the flood of SJ5 orders come in. With any luck, I'll have it in my hands before next season's first snow fall. :)
