Thanks Sheldon! it was one of those projects you just have to keep chipping away, and slowly it gets done.It attracts a lot of attention wherever i take it,great conversation starter. sounds pretty good too, but is not a Dingwall :)

That's pretty cool. Did you create the entire body or cut out from the original body and inlay from there?

NaH: the body was from a fender MIM jazz bass that had been dropped and the low horn was cracked, i sawed both horns off and reshaped with a rasp,the edges of the design were cut by hand with a knife to keep the edge smooth. and then i routed up to within a 16th or so and chiseled the remainder out by hand. the worst part was getting the heavy Urethane finish of the body, paint stripper would not phase it, but it surrendered in big slabs to a 1200 watt heat gun. :shock:
