Here are the first two production versions of the Lee Sklar model. All I can say is that these things sound outrageous!

Sheldon, I am curious as to the output of each of the 4 pickup positions available on the LSS in passive mode. I am particularly interested in the output of both pickups in series.[/quote:2auz9g8n] It's impossible to give you any meaningful measurements as far as output goes as it's entirely touch dependant. However the output of both pickups in series is roughly the same as our FD3 equipped basses with both pickups in series. Hopefully you have access to one of those. If not, the output is relatively hot.[/quote:2auz9g8n] Perhaps I should have worded my question differently. Let me try again: What is the DC resistance of each pickup on the LSS?[/quote:2auz9g8n] I would probably use the word really hot in stead of relatively Sheldon, when describing the output on this bass. I love the sound of this bass, and even if it takes a bit getting used to every slightest touch of the string coming out clear as day, it's a good way of getting rid of sloppy fingering for sure. I have to cut down the pre on all mixers I've had it plugged into so far to prevent clipping. Can't really say the output is different between active and passive with all tonal knobs in the centre position though.
