I've been playing lot more "rock" gigs lately with my Dingwall. After the last show our somewhat "wacky" drummer suggested that I get the "Flying V version of my bass". It was pretty funny for sure, and I wouldn't say I'm a "Flying V" guy...not that I wouldn't want to be....but I bet a 5 string with chrome pickup covers could look pretty cool. I'm curious how the fretboard angle would look with V body shape.

Nobody important rocked on a V bass, as I recall. I had one back in the day and they are not comfortable to play. Now if we could get the Dingbird that has been talked about....there's your rock Dingwall.

I'm surprised Robert Trujillo doesn't have a Dingwall in his stage set - what with having his basses slung so low down, the fan frets would put his left hand at a better angle!

I'm not suggesting that it should be built, only that it could be an interesting photoshop.

It would be cool to offset the center of the wings to the treble side so that the bridge lines up with the bass wing. I'm trying to remember if I've seen this body style done before.

Kind of like a Randy Rhoads V, or some really, really bad 80's V-alikes?
