Some recent gig pics! [img:34ad8ilz]http://lh6.ggpht.com/_ycCeFTJWlq8/TA_AWjtAtII/AAAAAAAAAbQ/RXztTTNCDiw/s800/IMG_0380.jpg[/img:34ad8ilz] Fretlessing! You can see the angle at which the strap mod[/url:34ad8ilz] keeps the bass.
Here's a picture of me and my ABII from a gig my band played in February. The colour stage lights made my friend's photos really amazing.[/quote:23s3vy40] Ooh, errr, she can play with my organ anytime... EG

Ha! Yeah, she doesn't hold back! And you can't really see in that pic, but she plays standing up and there's a keyboard to her right, which she sometimes plays [i:1i85nr1u]at the same time as the drums[/i:1i85nr1u] (There's no "regular" drumming in our music, hence no hi-hat...)
Wow, tipped over a hornets nest on that one! Please note I put Christian in quotation marks. I'm a believer and play at church every Sunday, and I take offense at this group and spouting their hate speech at funerals. That's it. Did not mean to offend anyone. In fact, I'll delete my earlier posts and stay off of here from now on.[/quote:y4736ssd] :( I want to see more pictures of your beautiful bass.
I take great offense to your comments about Christians as I happen to be one and not all of us are like the ones you so negatively speak of. You should keep your religious views and political views to yourself. That is not the intent of this forum. Let's keep it to praising Dingwall guitars and how blessed by God Sheldon is to be able to create these magnificent instruments. Enough said.[/quote:882sjadh] Agreed, lets keep religion right out of this forum and that, respectfully, includes thanking god for Sheldons talents, please remember that not all of us have the same beliefs about divinity, although we do all seem to have the same beliefs about how wonderful DW guitars are :)
Hey fullrangebass, looks like a maple fretboard on the Dinger in your latest pic. I'm a fan of maple fretboards, but haven't played a Dingwall with one. What's your impression or observations on how it affects the sound?[/quote:9swodgub] Which pic of them all???   I am a bit lost with all the Dingwalls I own and have pics of 8) I have 3 Dingwalls with maple fretboard (my blackburst Z1, my first Z2 and my avatar Z1) and my impression is that maple adds snap and brightness whereas wenge adds growl and edge and pau ferro adds a touch more warmth and snap. I have yet to play a Dingwall neck that I don't like (waiting for my Prima Artist in the next couple of years to check that neck too :P :P :P )

Can someone post clips of the FD3 and MachII so we can hear the difference?
Close up of the ABII shows the sligthly different finish of the Mach II in the bridge position.[/quote:356ad1xy] I noticed that too on my ABII with the Mach II. But I thought that was the original finish on the Mach I's also. I remember cleaning/polishing my bass the first time with lemon oil and shortly after that I notice that my pickups had lost their matte finish and had become smooth over most of the exposed areas. I haven't cleaned my bass since the Mach II upgrade, so that pickup still has the matte finish.

Here's one of me with my AB2. A dose of Johnny Winter style blues for you! (Note to self: smile more, lose weight, buy Rogaine) [url:2u9fdyjq]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxCoXH4bEp4[/url:2u9fdyjq] [url:2u9fdyjq]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzENbiuLTSY[/url:2u9fdyjq]

My brother took these a while back... This is me with the boss-man Johnny Lee. P.S. - That's the old road rig, the SWR Super Redhead with a Goliath III Junior 2x10 extension cab.

Yeah, I can pay off my Dingwall in $100.00 increments, one gig at a time! Here's my rig in all it's expensive glory [1], the whole band rockin out [2], and me starin at some chicks dirty dancing  [3]. There are definite advantages to being in the band!!!!!
