These are going to GuitarX in Denver. Gary has committed to a run of 12 Limited Edition Quilt top ABIIs. The 6 is a fretless. He managed to talk us into a Buckeye one as well. Gary can be a persuasive dude when he wants to :)

The catch of the day. Both of these are super-light. Gotta thank the walnut necks for that.

Congratulations RichC123, simply beautiful. I am the proud owner of the other one. Bought it to go along with the fretless 6 back at the beginning of this blog. I just want to give a big thumbs up to Gary at GuitarX for helping me out with both basses. A great, great guy to do business with. I got into Dingwalls pretty recently but I am sure glad I did. What a sound.

Congrats Joe! Both of your basses are really awesome as well. This is my first Dingwall and I'm really excited to hear and feel how it plays. "Simply beautiful" is a good way of putting it. I also want to give a big thanks to Gary over at GuitarX and to Sheldon Dingwall for making a dream come true. THANKS!

Hey Rich, Joe, thanks so much for the kudos - I'm blushing over here! Doing this Limited Edition run is such a pleasure and really an honor. These are amazing instruments and they all have been so gorgeous. I want some more people to order them - just so we can do more cool colors! Thanks again, you guys were awesome to work with. I know you'll love them even more in person. Gary

That green top is hypnotic! It has an almost perfect diamond like pattern to it. Both basses are beautiful. Congratulations boys!

Awesome basses! Congrats Joe & Rich! You're gonna love um - my buckeye ABII is the best bass I've ever played - and what a dream to use it on a gig. And, I agree, Gary at Guitar X does a great job!

Had the ABII basses looked like this when I was shopping for my first Dingwall, I very well would have chosen one instead of the ABI I bought. Not that I don't still love my ABI though~

I received my new bass today! At first, I was really worried because the box had a large hole in the side and had looked punctured. (I guess UPS doesn't know what all those stickers that say "Fragile" on them mean.) But, I looked the bass over from top to bottom and don't seem to find any damage to the guitar or gig bag. It looks REALLY beautiful! Great work Sheldon! I've only had about 10 min. of playing time with it plugged in and I'm really happy with the initial sound of the bass. The electronics are so versatile and I can't wait to play with them some more. The fanned frets don't seem like they will be a problem to get used to, at all. I might make some tweaks to the set up for my own personal tastes. Can't wait to put some serious time in on the bass and really take it through its paces. Thanks to Gary from GuitarX and Sheldon again! Great work!

This baby is now back in Canada. Picked it up from Bass Northwest this weekend. It is my 1st Dingwall and it is truly stunning. Won't be my last. Later Rob [quote="Sheldon Dingwall":3cpu0qlq]Here's one that's on it's way to Bass Northwest. We're starting to dial in the Tiger eye burst finish to where it's becoming a shop favorite.[/quote:3cpu0qlq]

Here's the first bass assembled in our new shop. It's also the first photographed with our new photo booth. I love the black background, but it made it just about impossible to get photos into magazines. The white should ease this plus it defines the edges so nicely. This one's a Limited Edition and custom color for GuitarX.
