"Hi, my name is Fullrange, and I'm a Dingwallholic. It's been 48mins since my last pluck..."

I refuse to start an Anonymous Dingaholic Club. Instead, I am founding the Eponymous Dingaholic Club and I am Club Member #1    And I admit that, not only I was playing my Dingwall all night, I went out and pulled the trigger on another Dingwall!!! Stay tuned!!!

Power Ball winner? [/quote:wwclt6nf] Fullie's collection is impressive, indeed, but I don't think you have to be a lottery winner to have one like it. Let's break it down: Take 22 or so Dingwalls (that's crazy!). Assume an average of $4000 laid out for each Dingwall. That's $88K. IIRC, Eddy got his first Dingwall in '99, so about 9 years of progressive Dingwall madness has gone by. That comes to a little less than 10K/year. It's not as cheap as buying new Fenders, but it's about the same cost as buying older Fenders, and you don't have to be filthy rich to do that, just a hard worker. I have a friend that probably makes a fifth of what I do, and he has a collection that makes you dizzy, so it's more about priorities and discretionary income. That said, I couldn't imagine having 22 Dingwalls. I have trouble rotating three, and another will be added soon. I'm probably only good for two more after my Z3. Uh huh. Mark

I think I need to start a new thread: Being involved in different bands and styles ranging from Pop to Heavy Metal, from Progressive to Latin, from Folk music to Disco etc., I am taking different basses with me. At each gig I will have a new poll and people can vote what they want me to take with me and try (but letting you know the style of music there too). I try to record every rehearsal with each band so I can listen back to the sounds and the overall position of the bass both in the rehearsal room as well as in the mix. What do you think?

Maybe I need to become a tourism executive to book exclusive tours to Dingwall-land and depending upon the rank in the Dingwall forum (severity of the Dignwall-itis disease that we all suffer from    ) you may use your greasy fingers to touch these wonderful objects of art    As long as the recordings go, they are a bit behind schedule because I am selling several non-Dingwall basses from my herd and I need to provide samples to some buyers before they go ahead and buy. And I am willing to delay until April to receive the Z3 and the fretless neck to add those in the library too

If so please tell me more, I have toyed with the idea of converting my revered AB1 to fretless once my Z3 arrives .... N

I think Sheldon may have to hire another employee specifically to keep up production for Fullie's Dingwall additction!
