For those who have played both on the Super J, did you find a significant tonal difference between the two?

I think the rosewood might actually be morado, but double check the website. I wish I could test drive a SuperJ!

morado is just a type of rosewood isn't it? bolivean rosewood or something like that and it probably has the same tonal characteristics as most rosewood boards... just a guess though... :?:

Morado and common/Indian rosewood sound the same to me. Maple typically sounds different to me on most basses except stingrays, to me.

I believe morado=pau ferro and is not rosewood, but I agree they sound similar.
