I hope you enjoy your new bass. Active ABZ's are still pretty rare.

I got it from NJ Guitar & Bass center... Jay is a great guy to deal with! I only wish I could afford an Afterburner II! (gonna' have to book a lot more casino gigs...) LOL!

Lovely bass.. I went the ABZ route and was hooked, within 7 months has upgraded to a gem of an Afterburner II. Every day gets sweeter once you arrive in Sheldon Dingwall bassworld. The ABII is a massive stepup from ABZ and worth every penny. Go get some . . . . . . . . .

Careful.... if you peak too soon you have nothing more to aspire to owning. Im gonna step my way up to a Prima Artist hopefully. Super J next for me. Ditch the EB SR5 and Warwick and move on up to Z3 heaven. I owned both previously myself and they were divorced as they aren't a patch on Dingwall. . . .

Easily my favorite ABZ finish. I can't fathom how the other models can improve on playability and tone, the ABZ is already so damned good.

You are right. The ABZ is so good. The big change is in the finish, it looks so good you can't help but stare. I found the bubinga neck was easier to play on my ABII as well (personal choice really), and the active pickups give it a serious extra wallop. It makes me think the Prima arist must be pure bass heaven. I'm on the stairway; movin' on up.

I'm in heavy lust over this one! [img:4ktjecke]http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/483142_4851543127355_1329767087_n.jpg[/img:4ktjecke]

Yeah, Anything with that mad wandering woodgrain gives me GAS. The Buckeye burl top in the Z5 on the Bassdirect site is calling me. Also the Super J 5, but I will have to dream a bit before the wee wife consents to the stable growing without my bank balance growing first to support the covet.
