Hi there!
Since I've read some time back, that you've experienced some lack of understanding from customers about your 4 string basses, as fanned frets seems to make more sense to 5 string basses, I've wondered if you have ever though of equipping your 4 strings with zero frets?
And, of course, I hear you wonder why. Recently, it has come to my attention, that more and more people equip their usual 4 string basses at a 34" scale with thick gauge strings to accomodate for drop tunings - way below low B - I think you will cater to a larger demography, and make lot of more people interested in your 4 string basses, if it's possible to change out the string gauge without having to tinker/tamper with the nut. A zero fret allows for more options and variances in the string gauge used. Without any effort or modifications.
Any thoughts?
