For any of you guys building cabs or looking to upgrade drivers, do it now. Prices are going to skyrocket. Eminence 3012 LF's will go from msrp $179 to $315. Any manufacturer using neodymium in their process will be feeling the pain and passing the costs on to us. 3015 LFs will be about the same. Just a couple years ago I was buying 3015's for $130. Here's a link to the cause: http://www.metal-pages.com/metalprices/neodymium/

Are we expected a slight price increase in Dingwall basses too as the pickups contain neodymium?

We don't use enough neodymium to warrant a price increase. We'll eat this one. There are a lot of other costs going up than make neodymium look pretty tame though. Housing, labor, freight, materials, regulatory compliance etc.

If so, sign me up :!: :D If not, please do consider the idea. While I like Thunderbirds and would definitely want a D-Bird when it finally goes into production, I'd want an E-bass (Super E?) even more; it's a design I've always liked, even more than the Thunderbird. Fanned frets would look awesome with the angular body.

There have been these 2 "teaser" sketches going around, but we don't know what became of them. [img:39374sv3]http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r200/xt660/Tbird.jpg[/img:39374sv3]
