Unless that bass has been over color corrected, I don't think its WPB. It may be one of the other blues, but it doesn't have the same amount of green in it...

The first picture I thought it was an ABZ with a maple board, but realized it was flash.

I'll have it next week! Very excited... and I know _nothing_ about these basses except that searching for strings on-line hasn't been very fruitful. But I've done my research and ready to see what she gots!

Looks nice enough but that rust concerns me. I'd see if I could get replacement screws, etc. A little work perhaps, but worth it. Let us know how it goes. Pictures, please! (Post in Show Your Dingwall!)

But it was previously in hawaii so it is possible that it wasn't in a temp controlled space... and with the humidity out there, oxidation could occur. We will see soon enough though. and yes, i'll post pics alright!

Steal prices for those two AB-Is. Much cheaper than new ABZs, even more considering prices in Germany. Somebody get them quick!

I'm the jolly joker who snagged the 2008 ABI (Wow). Appears to be in mint condition but retro-fitted with a carbon reinforced neck...or so the story goes. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but given the condition, new case, neck upgrade, and free shipping, I think I made out okay. I had an identical ABI a few years back but foolishly let her go. I also acquired a Combustion 5 which sparked my interest in this particular bass. BTW, is the toggle switch a "blue cube" or something else? Reason I'm asking is that I thought that particular feature was discontinued. Riis
