Are you going there by any chance? (My ABII is coming via NAAM too - should have it next week, as the only Dingwall stockists in the UK are going to pick it up for me and bring it back with them...now that's what I call service...and no shipping costs either! )

------So you've got the NAAM Z3 AND this SJ5 swinging your way??? Are you going there by any chance?------ Yes and yes. It's very exciting. I've got a few other Dingers too. I'm nuts over them. (Nothing like Fullie's collection which is going to alter the earth's rotation with the sheer weight.)

I hope you realise we expect full, in-depth reviews of your new acquisitions to be posted here! Whilst you're there, please do try out my ABII and let me know what you think... (Dunno how many will be there, but it'll be the one with a Bearclaw Quilt top and Hipshot D-Tuner). And why not post some booth pics of the whole clan while you're at it...no, not Sheldon & co...the BASSES..! Speaking of Fullie, I live in Greenwich, UK, home of the Meridian which, I hear, has been shifting strangely in recent years, cause unknown... :o

Get ready, Sheldon. You're getting what you wished (and worked so hard for so long) for! Between the lower price point AB-GL and the fact that Tom Bowlus just posted a gushing (albeit brief) review of his Z3/Geddy SJ5 experience at your NAMM booth on TB, things are gonna get even more outa control busy. Congratulations!

I picked this up at NAMM too. First impressions... 98% of the time I play the 37" scale so this feels like a short scale for me!! Super easy to play and with the crazy tone chambers Sheldon put in it's also impossibly light. The new PU's are just crazy fat tone. Crystal bright high's without a hint of burst distortion. With the bass boost you can dial that too. I'm still wild over the mid and high mid phat tubey sound. I've heard some guys get a custom pre and PU's over the years that's hard to duplicate. A friend of mine played with Hall & Oats and on the road had some custom work done to his bass electronics - it sounded totally unique and really just right flat out... Sheldon's newest creations are like that. (for me anyway!) I've also gotten comments from people I play with that they notice it and like the tone.... Yahoo!!
