I finally actually have something to show for my last 6 years of learning to play bass! Here are a couple of links to songs that are coming out on my band's new CD in a month. They were both recorded with my "old school" Mahogany Bodied ABII with FD1s. Both were recorded in the "series" setting, slight boost on the bass. Circle K strings. And through my Genz Streamliner 900, with one signal being a post Preamp direct in signal and the other being a miked signal from my Uber 410. With the usual pre-emptive request to excuse my less than fabulous playing, I give you "Wide Open Lucy": [url:1b7y406t]http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_13599411?utm_campaign=opengraph&utm_content=song&utm_medium=link&utm_source=facebook[/url:1b7y406t] and "Hereafter": [url:1b7y406t]http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_13502153?utm_campaign=opengraph&utm_content=song&utm_medium=link&utm_source=facebook[/url:1b7y406t]

Hey, thanks so much guys!! It means a lot coming from fellow Dingwallians!! I know there are some warts in there, but hey, most of us are doing this on a budget, so not a lot off opportunity to make it perfect!

I think when a tune is fine tuned to that perfect level it just seems to lose some of it's soul. A little too much like machines played it.

Hey Ivan, thanks for listening and commenting! As soon as I remember to bring my headphones with me, I'm going to check out your links as well! My speakers on my laptop are so bad, you can't hear ANY bass through them whatsoever. BTW, your ABZ looks really sweet!
