Bocete in da house laying down the groove! I really like it As far as the process of recording video and audio, what you do is probably the best way, unless you plug the bass to the camera. I do the same thing for my videos as you do. YouTube will instantly send you a message if you use any song under copyright by major labels. A couple of my videos are blocked in some countries for example.

Thanks for the kind words I've been trying to get YYZ down properly since January, but guess what, irregular bursts of practice till my hands hurt didn't work Very slowly and sloppily getting there, but all that studying has certainly taken it's toll. I cannot fit practicing into my daily schedule mainly because the schedule is "work till I drop". This song is pretty easy, ostinato defined. A fun and a great song of course, I enjoy playing along to it, but still something you can pick up after not having played bass for weeks and get it right after a few minutes.

Some overdrive and amp sim were on, not sure which ones, that was a preset, I can look it up.. I think it was the preamp on the bass that shaped most of the sound, as tweaking it made or break it. I found a high mid frequency that I liked and I liked it so much I boosted it by ~80-90%, and then cut some highs to reduce the clank. Kinda just stumbled upon the sound. Were my fingers more rested the sound would be even better; plucking as hard as makes sense with those settings really approaches the Geddy sound... The problem is my stamina, after a few minutes all consistency is off, I start falling behind like I wonderfully did at the end of that video... but I'll get there in time My general plan is to continue on recording songs with different feels to them, and the processor really can help me achieve next to any sound I like. The only one that eluded me was Entwistle's electric guitar-like distortion which sounds kinda.. digital in lack of a better term. But it's versatile and sounds very good to my ears, enough to make me pursue a preamp-less rig; processor -> power amp and that's it.
