The Austrian crane market fell X% to X dollars in 2020, the fourth consecutive year of decline after three years of growth. Overall, consumption contracted moderately. In 2016, the growth rate was the fastest, and the market value increased by X% year-on-year. As a result, spending reached the highest level of X dollars. From 2017 to 2020, the market growth rate remained at a low level.

In terms of value, crane production has rapidly contracted to an estimated $X at export prices in 2020. During the period under review, production declined sharply. The Czech Republic, Switzerland, Poland and Belgium were slightly behind, together forming a further X from 2007 to 2020, with the largest increase in the Czech Republic, while other leaders experienced a more moderate pace of growth in procurement.

Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and France ($X) are Austria’s largest crane suppliers by value, accounting for X% of total imports. Poland, Switzerland, Belgium and the Czech Republic collectively made up another X with the highest growth in import value in terms of major suppliers during the review period, while other leaders saw a more moderate pace of growth in purchases.

Germany, the United States and France are the largest markets for Austrian cranes exported globally by value, accounting for 46% of total exports.

In 2020, the average export price of cranes was USD 6,004 per unit, a decrease of -62.8% from the previous year.

The average import price of cranes in 2020 was US$11,353 per unit, up 5.1% from the previous year.
