Hi guys and gals and a with a new year brings G.A.S, in my case it's for a new amp, i currently use a Genz Benz shuttle 6.0 with 2 bergantino AE112's, i play mostly in a functions band/ rock band/ Neil Diamond tribute act, and i am thinking of changing my amp to either a GB shuttle 6.2 , Markbass LMIII, or Aguilar tone hammer, as i live in Ireland we don't have access to try these, its a case of buy it and hope you like it, so if any of you Dingwallians have any advice please chip in, i use mostly my SJ5 with east J retro deluxe preamp, and love the bergs so they wont change, so i need an amp that can cover most styles of music, so thanks and happy new year
When searching for a good quality amp, I liked the Markbass over the Genz Benz stuff I tried as I felt I could get a warmer tone out of it. Markbass has the VLE and VPF controls that let you alter the tone so that could offer some versatility as well. Markbass' Little Mark Tube also offers two inputs, and a mix option between the solid state and tube preamps, so that might be an even more versatile option than the Little Mark III. Never tried Aguilar, so I can't speak to that.

I have a couple of AE112's as well. I recently picked up a Genz Shuttle 9.0 and when I A/B'd it against my MarkBass LMII, I preferred the LMII. Keep in mind that both amps were flat and I didn't do any EQ'ing, but I found that the LMII had a bit smoother top end and it was a little more punchy. They both sounded pretty good though and I am sure I could get a good sound out of the 9.0.
The MarkBass Big Bang has me intrigued though. Apparently it is what replaced the F1/F500, but has similar controls to the LMIII (plus it's a class D power amp rather than the A/B LMIII).

Thanks guys for you input, just checked out the big bang, on paper looks good, starting to sway down the mark bass road

That Markbass unit looks pretty nice (can't get into their choice of colors, though).
For an alternative, however, I have been pretty happy with the Aguilar Tone Hammer 500, which I picked up recently as a practice/spare amp. However, I did use it on two gigs and it has IMO a very nice range of tones.

Little update, i went with the Markbass Bigbang, used it last night with my 2 Berg AE112s, and i was very pleased, very easy to use and the lows sounded great, the tone i have been looking for 
overall very happy, ticks all the boxes, easy to use, shows off the tone of the bass without to much fuss, and light, and thanks for your help guys.
