The Voodoo Switchblade System Revealed

The Voodoo Switchblade system has been under wraps for about a year now. Other than the shop prototype, Or Lubianker has the only bass with this switching system. I figured Or would be the perfect guy to squeeze the most out of what this system is capable of and give us the feedback we need. If you watch the video, I'm sure you'll agree we've got the right guy on the job. So far he's given it a work out in the extreme chops shows with Marty Friedman, Yossi Sassi, Dave Lombardo among others.

Technical stuff: there are two coils per pickup which are normally wired together as one. This concept treats each coil separately, routing the 3 bass coils to a single 5-way blade switch and the 3 treble coils to a second 5-way. The switches can be operated in tandem or independently to open up previously unheard of combinations. (One example would be the bass coil of the bridge pickup combined with treble coil of the neck for an extreme reverse P). I came up with the idea (in the middle of the night as usual) while working on the details of Or's Z3 build. Our tech Jeff Frey figured out how to make it happen and Ryan Marshall our go to guy for critical listening offered suggestions and input to improve the system. The system is still in R&D, we'll gauge feedback based on Or's video regarding it's release. If you like the system and would like to see it go into production be vocal about it.

Thanks to Or for putting such a great video together. The man's a genius!!
