Working alongside Dark Horse Comics and Darkglass Electronics, we created a truly unique bass guitar for Rob van der Loo, bassist with symphonic metal band Epica.
Based on our D-Roc model, the ‘Hellboy’ features a custom Darkglass distortion circuit and Hellboy-licensed graphics emblazoned on the body. We also designed a downsized tribute headstock with Hipshot Ultralite tuners for improved balance and overall performance.

Custom Darkglass onboard distortion
The FD-3N pickups are made to our specifications. They feature Neodymium magnets which offer high output and a smooth but aggressive tone.
We started with an available bridge/saddle system that met our requirements for lock-down solid performance and great tone. Then we improved on it by designing a custom riser system to provide an increased range of action adjustability.
