The Spanish transporter and overhead crane market will reach X USD in 2021, roughly the same as the previous year. In general, consumption shows a relatively flat trend pattern. Consumption of transporters and overhead cranes peaked in 2021 and is likely to grow steadily over the next few years.

In second place is Belgium ($X) with X% of total exports. It is followed by Iran with an X% share. From 2012 to 2021, the value to Morocco has an average annual growth rate of +X%. Exports to other major destinations recorded the following average annual export growth rates: Belgium (+X% per annum) and Iran (+X% per annum).

Import scale of Spanish bridge cranes and gantry cranes
In 2021, approximately X transport cranes, gantry cranes and overhead cranes were imported into Spain; compared to 2020 data, a decrease of -X%. Overall, there was a sudden drop in imports. The growth rate was most notable in 2017, when imports increased by X% over the previous year. During the period under review, imports peaked at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports have remained low.

In value terms, imports of transport and overhead cranes contract sharply to $X in 2021. Overall, imports fell sharply. The most significant growth rate occurred in 2018, when imports increased by X% over the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2020, then fell significantly the following year.

Germany (X units), France (X units) and Belgium (X units) were the main suppliers of transport cranes and overhead cranes imported into Spain, together accounting for X% of total imports. From 2012 to 2021, the largest increase was in France (+X%), while other leaders saw more modest growth in purchasing.

The largest suppliers of transport and overhead cranes in Spain by value are Germany ($X), France ($X) and Belgium ($X), with X% of total imports. In terms of major suppliers, France registered a +X% CAGR during the period under review, with the highest growth in import value, while other leaders saw more modest growth in procurement.

Statistics of various crane suppliers in Spain
Spain’s largest suppliers of transport and overhead cranes by value are Germany, France and Belgium, which together account for 67% of total imports.

Morocco remains the main foreign market for Spanish transport and overhead crane exports in terms of value, accounting for 63% of total exports. In second place is Belgium, with 14% of total exports. It is followed by Iran with a share of 9.2%.

In 2021, the average export price of transport and overhead cranes will be $3,178 each, up 20% from the previous year.
