After five years of decline, the Oman transport and overhead crane market grew by X% to $X in 2021. But overall, consumption has fallen sharply. Consumption of transport and overhead cranes peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, the production of transport and overhead cranes in 2021 is estimated at X USD at export prices. Overall, production continued to decline significantly. During the period under review, production hit an all-time high of $X in 2018; however, production has remained low from 2019 to 2021.

In value terms, China ($X) emerged as the leading foreign market for Omani transport and overhead crane exports, accounting for X% of total exports. In second place is India ($X) with X% of total exports. It is followed by the United Arab Emirates with an X% share.

Average annual growth in value to China from 2012 to 2021 is relatively modest. Exports to other major destinations recorded the following average annual export growth rates: India (-X% per annum) and United Arab Emirates (-X% per annum).

In value terms, China emerged as the main foreign market for Oman’s transport and overhead crane exports, accounting for 65% of total exports. In second place is India, which accounts for 16% of total exports. It is followed by the United Arab Emirates with a share of 9.8%.

In 2021, the average export price of transport and overhead cranes is $1,363 per unit, down -2.3% from the previous year.
