Here it is: Z1 6 String Whale Pool Blue Spalted Maple Top Maple Fretboard Black fret markers on top, none on fretboard. Price: $3000 This is by far the best I've ever played, and it has just a few very minor cosmetic flaws. There are pictures here: http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f310/cheamo/dingwall/. On the back of the neck there's a tiny little ding, and also one the top of the neck near one of the middle fret markers. There is also a little bit of wear on the top edge of the body. Email is probably better => cheamo@gmail.com

Yesterday I went over to Cheamo's place and tinkered around on this bass, comparing it to both my AB-II 6'er, and my Comby. Well, there's no need to say it's not much of a comparison bewteen a Combustion and a Z. They are at such different price points, if the Comby had ANYTHING on the Z, Sheldon is doing something wrong. :P The AB was a lot more similar, but it was still different. The Z is a nicer bass. It seems to be more comfortable than my AB, but I couldn't put my finger on why. I liked it a lot. Controls are simple but useful, sound is great, finish is awesome (do I really need to repeat the Dingwallism that pictures don't do it justice? ;) Man that Blue POPS :D ), spalt looks great. A great bass at a great price. If you want a simple and gorgeous 6 string Dingwall, this is the one to get.

It's a great looking bass.....and hasn't sold in a year. That leads to the question.....why? I understand the problems selling international and they can add expense to transaction in many ways, but if you need to sell it then price it to sell and it will go. Or take it into a shop to put on consignment and pay them to sell it for you. Or just keep the bass with the idea that maybe you're too far apart from what you want from it and what people are willing to pay for it? Sad seeing a great looking Dingwall on here and Talkbass for a year. Best of Luck

Most likely final price drop, although I don't see how I can compete with a 2k Z2 ;)
