Sheldon, What are the circular depressions on the bottom of the pickup routes? Just curious.

Due to working on some other aspects of this instrument, there's been tiny bit of delay...but soon enough! Hi John H. The pickups are still soldered inside the control cavity. The pocket in the pickup cavity is for a ring lug that connects the pickup cavity to ground. Jeff

Here's one called Toscha's Lotus Flower. This one's been a LONG time coming, but it's exceeded all expectations. The top is spalted maple burl from the same board as Patrick's. Originally we were going to do a linear burst in magentas and violets, but the customer had a change of heart on those colors. The diagonal burst seemed to make more sense as it follows the natural grain changes in the wood. The re-burst on the edges idea came while longboarding at the new skatepark in Prince Albert SK.

Wow classy.

While I'm sure the Violet and Magenta would have been beautiful, I think the green/teal combo with the lotus works perfectly. It's really another stunner. This current batch of Z's has some really beautiful and unique instruments happening. Its been very fun to watch them all develop and take wing. Each one is very individual and special in their own way.
