So, what's everyones favorite Dingwall? Not necessarily one you own or owned yourself. You don't even need to have played it. It may be because of the looks, tone, feel, or just GAS. Here's mine. I've wanted a Z2 ever since I saw Lee Sklar with Toto in '07. Never played one, but if it's even better than my AB, I know I want one. Love the tone Sklar has on Toto's Falling In Between live DVD, only his one has FD-1 or 3's, this has super fatties. Last but not least it looks outstanding. I love the colour (SMB?) and the quilt. Which one's your favorite?

Oohh, I'll play :) Here's mine. It's been for sale recently. I wouldn't change a thing. I never get tired of posting these. My two favorites, Stormy Monday Blue Z3 and Whalepool burst AB1. All I need is a bumper sticker that says "My Dingwall's are honor students at ____" Actually, FRB and others have some of the most gorgeous Dingwalls. I have some images saved on my home computer I'll try to share this evening if I get time.

+1 on the Rastaburst and that maple burl (??) PA. Other favorites are the Leaf Burst, Snotburst, Madrone topped SJ5 CE, the burl top (??) AB-II Exotic (I think that one is in Australia?), Paul Slagle's GORGEOUS ZII with the zero fret (sorry Paul, I can't afford it ;) ), The Combustion CAG (not just because I own one, in fact it's probably why I own one) or Lee Sklar CAG (I think it's just the colour), and finally, CarveDart. There's others too. ;) I've heard nothing but good things about Dingwalls, but since I can't afford any but the cheapest, I think what attracts me to them is the styling. Gorgeous wood with slick curves. The fan frets add to the style, and I think my favorite feature on the body is that little kick-out where the jack is. The reverse treble horn on the Prima's is beautiful too. Ah, Dingwalls. . . :)

I really like this one: [img:2fubsle9]http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w267/Smallmouth_Bass/D00339Z35TurningLeaf.jpg[/img:2fubsle9] But, I also like: - The Rastaburst Voodoo 5 - Martens-Koop's Prima Artist 5 (with the chrome-ish hardware and bird inlay) - Geoff's original Prima Artist 6 - Lomo's former Stormy Blue Z3 5 - My Olympic White SJ5 There are so many nice ones that it's hard to choose!

I'm reviving my thread, because I have a new favorite... Well, actually I can't decide. If I was buying a Z3 right now, I would lose some serious sleep over this... :D I think this belongs to Fullrangebass [img:1f4uzbaw]http://www.dingwallguitars.com/wp-content/gallery/z3-series-gallery/dingwall-z3.jpg[/img:1f4uzbaw] [img:1f4uzbaw]http://www.dingwallguitars.com/wp-content/gallery/z3-series-gallery/z3-5-smb-full-e.jpg[/img:1f4uzbaw] [img:1f4uzbaw]http://www.dingwallguitars.com/wp-content/gallery/z3-series-gallery/z35-quilted-redwood-top.jpg[/img:1f4uzbaw]

Very pretty. I have a guitar player who would like one, but his iron-fist of a wife won't let him even entertain the idea...

The AB-1 with P tone pup is a whole different animal. Both the Super J5 and the AB-1 got a big dose of attitude with the P tone pup. [img:1so9bqbn]http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/1259/dingwallfront.jpg[/img:1so9bqbn] The sixer wins for extreme sexiness, the Whale Pool Blue is jewel like. Hopefully, I'll get sound clips in the next couple weeks. You can't play favorites with a harem! They all need regular workouts.

sparkle red is awesome: [img:20st4j74]http://homepage.mac.com/burningskies/.Music/Pics/dingwall_z2_red3_150.jpg[/img:20st4j74] I'd be happy to own this ol' one: [img:20st4j74]http://homepage.mac.com/burningskies/.Music/Pics/voodoo_001_full_shot_676.jpg[/img:20st4j74] I love the topwood on this one and the finish. It's an alien insect of a bass: [img:20st4j74]http://homepage.mac.com/burningskies/.Music/Pics/z25q_premium_select_quilt_hab_203_8.jpg[/img:20st4j74] I would love to have this one: [img:20st4j74]http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r200/xt660/wow.jpg[/img:20st4j74] This one is particularly fetching in jewel tones...and the first of the linear bursts... [img:20st4j74]http://homepage.mac.com/burningskies/.Music/Pics/Z-2.jpg[/img:20st4j74] Of course, the most most favorite of mine is this one: [img:20st4j74]http://homepage.mac.com/burningskies/.Music/Pics/Rastaburst-1.jpg[/img:20st4j74]

Whoa, what is with that second-to-last picture? That's not the way that finish looks is it? It kind-of looks like the picture has had the colours reversed on it. Anyone know when that bass was made and who owns it now?
