Hi fellow Ding-aholics. I have been stating lately that I am out of GAS for the near future, and I always said that this is for some good reason. I am sure you understand that I am a fan of Sheldon's Works of Art. So we have a question to answer: What can possibly be better than a Dingwall??? this one???

I am just ok, enough to make good use of my Dingwalls 8) (and few other basses too, but mostly DW's) . I am not a professional in terms of making money out of music, but I care for my music and the music of other people (covers or originals) to give my best shot at it (performance and equipment wise). People call me to play and record with them so it makes me feel appreciated.

What the hell? I'm guessing that Fully doesn't have a wife, kids, and two Italian greyhounds to feed . I blame my family (dogs included) and their silly needs for food and shelter as the reason for me not having more than 3 Dingwalls. :?. I see basses there that I thought belonged to other people- the snotburst Z for one. Have we discovered that Snotburst is, in reality, our buddy Fullrange? Dude, I appreciate you posting all those pix, but now you have to go back and add a brief description of each one (woods, etc). I gotta go plan my next Dingwall (no joke). Let's see- Z2 5 string, 3 color burst, ash body w/ no top, wenge board, matching headstock... Mark

Hi Mark I am not Snotburst; Just like I am not other people  ; it just happened that I was at the right time and place (along with other strange coincidences). And I am trully happy to share my experiences in the world of Dingwall. From my 40+ herd my top of the tops are my Dingwalls I am waiting for master Sheldon to chime in ("oh, no!!! he needs another shot of anti-GAS medication to keep him tranquilized!!!")

I am still missing a fretless, a Super J, a 4str and couple of more. But I am sure these babies will keep me happy and busy till my Artist Prima comes along. All these basses helped me make my mind regarding my choices on the Artist Prima (only 2yrs away)

Wow, wow, wow! I can't wait to see the picture on your holiday card this year with you surrounded by your family...uh, your Dingwalls. I'm a little bummed seeing Snotburst's Z1 in the collection, only because he was so incredibly jazzed, had planned it out so carefully and now doesn't appear to be able to enjoy it. But, I don't know the story, either, and hope all is well with all involved. There is a teal bass, older body style, no top, on a stand (is it a Z1?) that I was wondering if it was previously owned by Jim Cobb? Some of the others look familiar. Well, OK, I'm off to further ponder what I've just seen. I hope you don't mind if I pick your brian a bit as my Z gets closer to reality. John
