Has there ever been an unlined fretless Dingwall?

not that I'm aware of, but i dont thinks its a total deal breaker. I have a lined fretless ABI since 2002, and I'm very comfortable on it. SO I guess I would take a chance. However I would never consider it at first

sheldon is on holidays right now, but none of the guys around the shop remember an unlined fretless.

I've asked the question some time ago and Sheldon said that there were no unlined fretless Dingwalls. At least I think it was Sheldon who said that.

Thanks for the responses. I'm kind of surprised to hear this even though I've never seen any in my wanderings through this forum. From the sounds of things playing a fanned fretless is intuitive enough that it wouldn't be horrible to get used to, and besides most players don't spend all of their time staring at the fretboard. I've personally always had a great fondness for nice looking unlined fretless basses, on a purely esthetic level I suppose. I would love to see/own a Dingwall like this.
