Congratulations again for the well-deserved award, and another heart-felt thank you to Sheldon for this magnificent instrument that he and his crew crafted for me! My order went in on the coat-tails of Zoomie's reverse Super P5 (one number separates our respective serial numbers) and was delivered, quite serendipitously, on Christmas Eve.

The cool new headstock:

The neck is P-bass perfection with (naturally) a bit more 'meat' than the SJ. After journeying all the way from Saskatoon, the strings were in tune with each other and uniformly just a bit flat from pitch. Setup was perfect. I lowered the E/A pickup segment by one turn of the wrench (both bolts) and raised the D side of the D/G segment by on-half of a turn to fine-tune the string volume balance for my taste. [u:255f041f]All[/u:255f041f] of its parts resonate nicely together with no discernible dead notes. At 7lbs, 4oz, this is now my lightest bass. Big, fat, clear precision tone 'in spades' from the FD-P4! So responsive to touch and attack like all of my Super series instruments..
