I just finished watching the South Park episode about the 9/11 conspiracy theory. It made me realize something. I've put together some facts about Fullrange that reveal a deeper truth: FULLRANGEBASS IS NOT A REAL PERSON. There is no way. Sheldon fabricated this lie to make us all jealous and want to buy more Dingwalls. 1. No "bass player" could fund Fullrange's crazy Dingwall acquisition. He seems to have so many gigs, it's almost as if he has no day job. The gigs are so diverse, it's obvious Sheldon created him to show how versatile a DW is. 2. One person could never find enough time to love 15 Dingwalls. Mine gets a minimum 1 hour per day. 3. He is single. Sheldon wants us all to feel fine when our significant others leave. It's not our addiction to Dingwalls causing problems - they just could never understand. 4. Nobody's "brother" just gives them a Prima Artist!!! 5. He isn't an a--hole like everybody who really has nearly 50 boutique basses AND money to keep getting new ones. 6. FRB can be heard saying things like, "I hardly ever play my parallel fretted basses anymore. They just don't compare." Well no crap they don't! Nobody that has that many Dingwalls would have anything else, unless Sheldon created him to talk about how his DW's compare to the other high-end stuff. 7. No human being could possibly be that happy! Feel free to add to the list.

That shady FRB character has been quiet for January. Maybe he needs to convince th rest of the Dingwall-land creatures that he is a nice person after all. How can that happen? What if he saves a princess??? Sound thought. We need to find stories with princesses that are saved by princes or heroes. Specific details can be valuable clues as to find which Dingwall will join the family. Those who know must remain in silence. The rest need to think (and later on Google!!!!) (This time I will not give away any t-shirt or any other prize unless I change my mind)

 As if torturing us mere mortals who have only one or no Dingwalls in our posession with pictures and descriptions of your 'Herd" wasn't enough, now you have to keep us in suspense waiting for bits and pieces or your stories. :!:

It has been a very quiet January for the Fullrangebass character. Could it be that the real people that run Dingwall Designer Guitars had a very busy time at the NAMM show and the people that run the FRB show had no time to make another sighting of FRB possible??? :?: :?: :?: Who knows??? Now there has been another Functional High-End Art Application that has been under the eye of that shady character. We will start unfolding the story little by little.... (to be continued).....

I was trying to find out about NAMM-related Dingwall News (unfortunately I could not be there side by side with any other person that potentially could be me  ) I will try to make it to Frankfurt, but neither Sheldon and co nor Leland Sklar will be there.

Greetings and Happy Holidays to all. FullRangeBass, have you ever thought of doing a Dingwall calender? It sounds like you have more than enough prime specimens to fill the pages( and then some). Maybe you could post pictures and bios of each on the site and votes could be cast etc. I'd buy one . Others might. Proceedes could go toward further acquisitions or to your favorite charity. Just an idea.

[b:24rta078]Xmas Story[/b:24rta078] Once upon a time there was a good boy named Fullrangebass. He tried to hard to be good and give shelter to un-loved or soon to be left alone Dingwalls. He took care of other basses too, but he had a soft spot for Dingwalls. He asked Master Chef Sheldon for a Prima Artist 5 but the waiting time is about 2 yrs (it takes about 2yrs for the cork wood to mature enough to project the desirable strong low mids and massive lows; sparkling highs are the trademark sound of cork so no need to wait for that :P :P :P ). The new toy of SJ5 will not be available till early Jan so it looks like FRB would be left without a toy for Xmas 2007. What could the poor boy do? he wrote a letter to Santa (we all know that Fullie and Santa don't exist, so no conflict with reality here). Santa read the letter. He knew that FRB was a good boy in spite of certain rumors that accused the latter for slaughtering Dingwalls in the middle of the night. He had to find a toy fit for FRB. He looked in his bag but no Dingwall was there. He looked around, no Dingwall in sight, still (Santa was probably out in the streets when he got the letter cause we all know that he has couple of Dingwalls in his closet). He started running here, he started running there (hence the slim-ish version of Santa) but still no Dingwall in sight. Once he lost all the weight that doctor ordered ( :P :P :P ) he thought of calling few friends. His elves told him that there was nothing for Fullie in the little workshop (at the time at least). So he called his good friend (and Santa look-alike) Leland Sklar. Her had a Dingwall indeed but.... it was used!!!!   . It was a well used Dingwall (at all levels). Would FRB like to have a well used bass previously owned by a Santa look-alike? let's first take the bass to Master Sheldon to check and restore (if needed). [Please don't call master chef Sheldon an elf cause I'll never ever receive the Cork Dingwall    . Let alone that he might turn me into a frog and Dingwall playing princesses to come and kiss me are rarer that a hen's tooth :P :P :P ] Now back to the workshop, where Master elf, oops Master Chef I meant, Sheldon has inspected and given lots of TLC to this very special toy. So now Santa drops the question: "Would you like to receive such a present?" Here comes the answer by FRB: "Why isn't it already here????????" PS this was not my first encounter with this bass but this is another story which involves a different elf, not so nice but let's talk about it right now. And so it is that Prince Fullrangebass managed to avoid the risk of becoming a frog and the further risk of finding and getting involved with a frog-kissing Dingwall-playing princess. He will receive his Xmas present, take it to Dingwall-land with him, start recording and live happily ever after (the beautiful princess chapter is still open for our good boy but this is another chapter; oh, isn't it a dating forum here??? sorry, I got carried away  ) Merry Xmas everybody. Now it looks like it's a very long time till the cork matures enough for the Prima Artist ("Oh, no!!! Not again")
Congratulations!!! You have spotted well. It's the autographed one (the other I have to nick it out of the shop when I visit the shop, but please be quiet about it     ) Tomorrow I will reveal the story!!![/quote:yuric2mm] OK, Fullie. I guessed Lee first, then I guessed the mystery bass first. So, don't you think [b:yuric2mm][i:yuric2mm]I[/i:yuric2mm][/b:yuric2mm] deserve a Christmas present for doing such high quality detective work? :) No, I'm not thinking I necessarily deserve a bass, but a Dingwall T-shirt in large would do nicely. PM me for my shipping address :D And about that blue Voodoo rotting in back of the shop- I've already hit Sheldon up a while back about putting together a [i:yuric2mm][b:yuric2mm]Frankenwall[/color:yuric2mm][/b:yuric2mm][/i:yuric2mm] bass for me from unloved and unused [i:yuric2mm]spare parts[/i:yuric2mm], so you may have some competition there. :P I've also asked for permission to travel to the shop to do the final assembly and set up on the Frankenwall. The race is on! (You will probably win, however, given your expertise in Dingwall acquisition. ) Remember, I need a large T-shirt, not XL. I've been working out and losing weight so that I can strap on 2 of my Dingwalls at once, like Mr. Levin does with his MM and Stick! Congrats on your "new" bass. Looking forward to the story. Keep this up and I'll have to surrender my GUITARDED handle to you and adopt another! (But please let me keep the name for my band - I'm booked too far in to '08 to change it :) ) Merry Christmas. Mark

My favorite bassists are Billy Sheehan (I own a Yamaha Attitude custom but not one that he used), Randy Coven (I have one of his 3 Foderas ever made), Mike Porcaro (I own one of his Status Empathies) and Leland Sklar (I am humbled by the opportunity to own a bass that belonged to him)
It's not the Green one either. It's quite a humble bass (just like Leland is, from what I've heard so far) but it carries a bit of history too. Tomorrow I will reveal (along with an Xmas story for Ding-aholics)[/quote:1kmeiqm0] Wow, this is exhausting! How about the autographed natural one in this picture? Mark

The bass had EMGs from moment zero, but I don't mind buying a used Dingwqall  . I know that I will be able to compare all these great pickups side by side on the world's best basses!!! I am sure that some Dingaholics must have heard of this bass (or the previous owner). It's not the Apple Red Z2.... Unless someone figures out the bass, I will reveal tomorrow night... I have been a very good boy indeed
