I just finished watching the South Park episode about the 9/11 conspiracy theory. It made me realize something. I've put together some facts about Fullrange that reveal a deeper truth: FULLRANGEBASS IS NOT A REAL PERSON. There is no way. Sheldon fabricated this lie to make us all jealous and want to buy more Dingwalls. 1. No "bass player" could fund Fullrange's crazy Dingwall acquisition. He seems to have so many gigs, it's almost as if he has no day job. The gigs are so diverse, it's obvious Sheldon created him to show how versatile a DW is. 2. One person could never find enough time to love 15 Dingwalls. Mine gets a minimum 1 hour per day. 3. He is single. Sheldon wants us all to feel fine when our significant others leave. It's not our addiction to Dingwalls causing problems - they just could never understand. 4. Nobody's "brother" just gives them a Prima Artist!!! 5. He isn't an a--hole like everybody who really has nearly 50 boutique basses AND money to keep getting new ones. 6. FRB can be heard saying things like, "I hardly ever play my parallel fretted basses anymore. They just don't compare." Well no crap they don't! Nobody that has that many Dingwalls would have anything else, unless Sheldon created him to talk about how his DW's compare to the other high-end stuff. 7. No human being could possibly be that happy! Feel free to add to the list.

 Nice post there, nasty. I like the way you're thinking. In all those pics of Sheldon, an evil plan of taking over the lower end of the music world hides behind a mild mannered smile. It seems to be working as I'm clamoring to join the family and if my application is accepted, I could be a member in as little as 2 weeks. Good grief! [i:j4n5g62n]Future Dingwall owner[/i:j4n5g62n]

I once met a postal clerk who's great aunt twice-removed said she had seen Dingwall Sales Lamb up on a grassy knoll the day Fullrange first posted on the Dingwall forum. Hmmmmmmmmmm........

Nice theory, Nasty, but where it breaks down as applied to me is the Dingwall-envy part. Oh, sure, I was a bit green when Eddy first posted his incredible "What could possibly.." thread. Who wouldn't be? (BTW, my jealously was mitigated even further when, just last night, I was told by my lovely wife that I should start planning for yet [i:xuba1mlw][b:xuba1mlw]another[/b:xuba1mlw][/i:xuba1mlw] Dingwall after I get my Z2 . I'll likely hold off a couple of years, though, to avoid bass burn-out. I had about 50 Danelectros at one time and I eventually got bored with them. I'm now down to 2.) Also, I was initially mildly irritated that Eddy didn't post all of his basses under the "Show Yer" thread. ("Who is this guy that thinks his basses deserve their own thread? :?" Clearly, such an amazing collection [i:xuba1mlw]does[/i:xuba1mlw] deserve special attention.) All of that has changed. I now look forward with great anticipation to see what long-necked rabbit Fullie will pull out of his magical Dingwall hat. I was slightly bugged about the aura of mystery the he sets up about the details of each new acquisition, but that's now part of the fun. (However, I do think it's a bit suspicious when Sheldon asks Eddy, "Where are you finding all of these (Dingwalls) ?" Shouldn't he know, if anybody does?) No, it's nothing sinister like Voodoo that makes us want more Dingwalls. It's the fact that they are so amazing that keeps us coming back for more, and more, and more... Sheldon surely must be the most visionary luthier ever. Mark

I am afraid that you may all realize that I do not exist in this world. I was raised on the crest of the wave of a Low B and that crest had the Dingwall magic, that gives me the strength to play anywhere on the f/b and be heard strong and loud. Only at gig time I come out from the Dingwall-land with the appropriate weapon of choice to fight bad tone and lack of groove and then go back into the sonic Nirvana of Dingwalls 8) 8) 8) As far as Dingwall acquisition goes, I see them with my x-Ray eyes or listen to them with my Super hearing and transport them to Dingwall-land to meet their brothers

I don't think we've seen as many Dingwalls in the "eBay Dingwall Search" thread in the last year as Fullrange has bought in the last six months!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I wear trousers and T-shirts too, at least when I gig    Now the family has grown to such an extend that I need to take 2 pics to fit all in!!!

Happy Sunday to all. Hey-Fullrange-it would be truly amazing to see an updated full family photo of your harem. I gather from some of your previous posts that a selloff of your parallel fretted outcasts may be forthcoming......is this true? Regardless, it seems to me you'll be needing a building to house the brothel :-)

It is true that time is closing in that most of my non-fanned basses will leave the nest to find new homes (it looks like 6-8 non-Dingwall basses will stay around). My only problem is time. I need to make a detailed list and put prices for the basses to sell. As far as the Dingwall Penthouse Brothel, oops museum I meant  , it will soon open the doors for fellow Ding-aholics. The first three people I'd like them to visit the Dingwall Playhouse would be Sheldon, Dingwall Sales and Lee Sklar (what were you thinking? Angelina, Scarlet and Charlize? I was thinking the same but I thought of trying to keep the subject bass related, in spite of Dingwall basses having the right curves and being seductive    )

It was late in the night when that Fullrangebass person realized he needed a silent bass to practice his grooves in Dingwall-land. Just unplugging the bass was just not enough for him. So he went out hunting. He found a herd of basses quietly sleeping in the calmness of that starry night, unaware what one of its members would suffer before the morning arrived. Fullrangebass set his eyes on a bass that was sleeping on the side and fast as a lightening he took that bass away from the rest. [...this part of the story is not suitable for my sensitive fellow Ding-aholics, so I am allowing each and every one of you to fill in the blanks according to his/her own understanding of that Fullrange persona] When the morning came and the dust had cleared from the air, this is how that bass was found    This proves once again that Fullie (or whatever they call him) he cannot be a real person (or just one person) because: - Noone caring for Dingwall basses would do that to such a lovely bass - Noone could do as much work during the night on his own, so it has to be a team of ruthless bass slayers - Noone would leave as much evidense behind, unless that person does not exist. I rest my case. Please see exhibits 1 and 2. Thank you

Wow, straight to the point. No mystery here now. I am going to transplant some new, better and improved pickups and circuit (the old Barts were not as filling as the FD3's). The funny thing is that the Emerald Green still sounded great without any electronics!!!! I'll take some (new) decent pictures and start posting again.

......and back to the original spirit of the thread.......the entity known as Fullrange was reportedly seen as part of a trio playing the Carlyle Hotel in NYC, with Full on bass, Woody Allen blowing clarinet, and Elvis singing.....

To add an intresting observation; yesterday when someone tried to call Dingwall Sales on his cellphone, he was not replying. It was the time that the Emerald Green was taken away and brought to the slaughterhouse. Is it a coincidence??? :?: :?: :?:
