Hrm...I'm starting to rethink my initial enthusiasm over the BG color. But both of the pics with the white pickguard are pretty nice looking.

That gray looks alot better here than it did in the factory shots. Can't say I'm a fan of the PG at all. I think all three colours (but especially the CAG) look better without any PG. Couldn't help but notice the gray and three-tone both had both fretboards while the CAG only had rosewood

Very, very nice. The CAG Combustion should be left pickguardless. It doesn't scream Lee Sklar with one. The rest is great, I'd have'm all. Even the Battleship Gray - it looks much better in these pics. Made me think of a mime. What about the red tort pickguard?

Bocete: I agree on the CAG, IMO the green should be left clean

Normally I'm not into TTB for the same reason I'm not into Free Bird-just too much of it over the years-but the paradox of a Combustion in TTB works for me. Go figure.

Sheldon, do the maple fingerboards have any kind of protective coating on them... or are they bare wood? I [u:2xslbu5l]hate[/u:2xslbu5l] the way bare wood maple gets filthy and grimy (like on Musicman basses), so knowing this might help me in my decision. And as much as I love the pickguards, mine's going on with sticky tape. No screwholes in [i:2xslbu5l]that[/i:2xslbu5l] finish. Any chance of ordering a pickguard without screwholes? Or maybe I can get one cut by Pickguardian (or whoever makes the Baltic Amber material, I forget at the moment).
