I'm testing a new Super J pickguard color Vintage Cream. I really like it. It makes me want to go down to the Diner and order a milkshake :)

I'm envisioning a monochromatic SJ with that guard, Oly white, maple neck, painted headstock. How does the new guard color look against the Oly? Mark

I like it! It definitely tones down the stark white of a regular white pickguard. It works well with seafoam/surf and black instruments (and all those vintage colors). Next stop a 'mint green' pickguard that looks 'right' and not fake. It would fit perfectly on basses with the early to mid-sixties custom colors like burgundy mist, ice blue and charcoal.

Wowee Zowee! My immediate response is... I want one! 'Course, I just got an AB1 about a month ago so I'm not going to act on this impulse. I agree that the cream white is nicer than a stark white. I just sold my Valkyrie motorcycle which was almost the same color scheme - so, I'm a sucker for retro/baby boomer/ nostalgia laden toys. Nice work!

what you often see referred to as "Parchment"? I've aleays preferred that color to true white... it's groovy! Now, if I can only find a new "aged" pearl pickguard for my pseudo-69 Thinline...

We'd either have to find a lighter material or back spray clear plexi.

The off white doesn't really float my boat, but I love the idea of more 'guard options. How 'bout a range of standard colours with more available for an upcharge? Pickguards.com has a "snakeskin" pattern that kills on a blk bass!!
