I think this belongs in the ask Sheldon or Dingwall Sales categories, although I doubt any definite answers are available-my understanding is "spring 07". I can only hope that means April or May and not Labour Day, but I'm sure the entire DW crew is workin' hard at it.

Harry- IIRC the spring07 is the offical word, and the main reasoning is/was Sheldon and company are wayyyyyy behind on Primas and other top end Dingwalls (still quoting 2+ yrs to new agreements). Last time i spoke w/ Sheldon he mentioned that the SJ5 would be a top priority once they started clearing the slate from these current orders

I don't know if anyone has dibbs on #1 (although I'd love it!!). Bass NW has had a credit of mine for many months that's earmarked for SJ5 and says Dingwall Sales isn't even taking deposits yet. On a positive note, this shows the usual trademark Dingwall integrity IMO. On the down side, however, I just read his post under "ask Dingwall Sales" stating he isn't even willing to hazard a guess as to delivery time until the Z/Prima backlog is under better control. Perhaps they'll decide to reward the long wait with.......(I can't resist)..............................ORANGE

I don't know if I'm worthy of SJ5#1... all I care about is that I'm confirmed for the first run!

Dingwall Sales answered my recent query about SJ5 production by saying it'll happen, but not until after the Voodoo backlog is addressed. He offered no date, and they're still not accepting deposits. I must admit that although it bums me out,I admire Sheldon and co. for not biting off more than they can chew and putting quality before expansion and $$. I'd rather wait for a real DW that's seen their shop than get a completely outsourced wannabe. It's entirely consistent with everything I like about DW........so I'll keep twiddling my thumbs and waiting................
