Hi Sheldon, any pics of the Super P/J5 P pickup prototype (assuming there is one)? Would be cool to get an idea of what it looks like "in situ" too - any drawings? And how easy will it be to drop in to a SJ5 - I'm guessing the pup will drop right in with minimal soldering needed, but will the P pickguard need to be fitted precisely by a pro?

If the 5-string P pickup is on it's way, it makes me wonder how far the SuperP will be behind it...

What have I done to you to deserve this? All in good time... never rush a good thing. I am sure that as soon as the factory has some templates or shots they will show them to us... Now back to work everyone...

When I ordered my SJ5 I specifically requested that the neck pickup route be made so that a set of P pickups could be added later once they were developed. I haven't actually checked, but I assume it is. I probably would have ordered a PJ5 right off the bat. The thing is, the JJ setup sounds so good too! I have been leaning towards the P sound lately though, so the upcoming release of the 5P pickups is sounding appealing. I am certain the JJ setup slap sound will be better (it's my favourite slap sound), but then again I rarely slap and don't really have any plans to. Is the plan to wire the P pickup in series so when it's in the neck position it is going for the true P sound?
