Hey Dingwall Sales, I seem to have in the back of my mind the notion that the Super J is available with an optional P-bass bridge pickup. I have to admit I don't recall where I saw/read or heard this. If so, are there any photos, and more importantly, some sound bites of tone samples that we could indulge in, perhaps similar to the Combustion tone samples on the website?? Thanks, K

The 4 string is available with a P-style pickup in the [i:3gv5uzt5]neck[/i:3gv5uzt5] position. Search for "Super P/J" for pics. Sorry I can't help with the audio.

I've got a Super P/J. I spent 95% of the time on the P pick up, passive. It just kills. I'll try to put some clips together.

Some sound clips would be much appreciated Singlemalt. I'd love to hear more from you on what you like/dislike about the tone-sculpting you can do with the P/J. I'm having a hard time fence sitting right now, because I love a jazz tone, and the Super J's tone is the best I've heard. But...I also have a real love for that chunky, funky P-bass tone. I guess I'd like to know, from someone who knows, whether I can have the best of both worlds, have to take the good with the bad, or if the P/J won't adequately scratch my itch for both the J and P-bass tones a la Dingwall. BTW, I love the natural finish on your Super J. That's also my preference.
