I recently contacted Dingwall Sales about getting 2 sets of strings shipped to me in Toronto. There is no dealer here anymore, nor has there been for too long. The reply I got was shocking! Not only can I not buy less than 5 sets at a time (which I do not need) but I was told that I should be calling an Ontario dealer he had contacted and try to lean on him to become a dealer... then I might be able to get the strings I need! This is insane!!! I have had this Prima now for 13 years... and still enjoy it, but this is not practical... nor should Dingwall's clients be asked to do sales calls to support themselves. Any input on this would be appreciated on this... I don't want to sell it, but if it's going to be this type of expensive hastle each time I need strings something will need to change. I have a couple of sets that I will sell to you or just one if that's all you want. Send me an email dsincjr@aol.com if you are interested. I've tried them and they are to bright for me. I'm waiting to try the Nickle strings when they come out.

AXE in Calgary and Edmonton( and many others I'm sure) have Dingwall Strings in stock. You can order online. Link to them from the Dealers List. You can buy one set or as many as you desire.

Pat, Jong at Jive sound will take care of you. He's in the US but will happily send you as many or as few sets as you need.

One of the drags about being the size we are is that we're too small to afford dedicated office or shipping/receiving personel. As a result we have to pull two people off of production to fulfill an order. One to pick, pack, enter into the shipping log and drive to the postal drop off and myself to type up the invoice, process the card, update the books, print labels, waybills and comunicate the order with the other person. Retailers have people sitting around waiting to process orders, for us it requires grinding to a halt. At some point we'll be large enough to streamline this process, but for now we're spread pretty thin already. Regarding calling a dealer. There is WAY more product out there than any dealer can or should stock. If people aren't calling looking for Dingwall, they aren't going to stock Dingwall. The catch 22 is, if they don't stock us, no one get's to try us and demand remains very grass roots. You'd be doing us and [u:1m0a4vkb]yourself [/u:1m0a4vkb]a favor by calling your favorite dealer and puting in a vote to stock our stuff. If they sense enough interest in the area, chances are they'll give us a try. This is common practice for every brand. If you'd rather not, please support the dealers who already stock our strings.

Anyone know how to get single sets of strings in the UK as the Gallery don't stock Dingwall strings as far as I know.

Give Alex a bell - last time I asked him, they did stock Dingwall strings and if they're out of stock, he'll get some for you...

Another opotion to add to the list is to call or email the gents at Bass Central in FL. I know they're willing to ship internationally if necessary and they carry Dingwall products. Plus they're easy to deal with.

Just buy from Jong at Jive Sound. He's in the US, but then again I'm in Greece and I order from him as well. It will probably be cheaper than from the Gallery too, even with shipping included, if we're talking about more than one sets.
