Sorry to hear that. Hope it will be recovered very soon. I will keep an eye for your Dingwall (I am sure that many members of the forum will be looking too). Please make it public in talkbass.com, basschat.co.uk, finnbass.com as well other bass related forums

Man sorry that happened to you. We'll keep our eyes peeled. THey would be very stupid to try and sell it on eBay.

My heart sank when I read this. Assholes abound worldwide, apparently. A pox on the bums that ripped you off. You should place a Dingwall wanted ad in the papers in Norway and maybe bait them. Sorry to hear that. Hope it returns soon. Mark

The good news is that this should have a much stronger chance of being recovered than 99% of the instruments out there. Dingwalls are so different from the bulk of instruments, you can tell most shop owners or law enforcement in about 3 easy sentences what to look for and how it differs from pretty much every other bass in your geographical area. Also, even if repainted, I'm guessing the thief won't be able to play it out without recognition.

I'm sorry to hear as well...I still don't know how people can be happy having or making money off of things they didn't earn.

Allbass, that seriously blows man. :x I kinda know how you must feel. I thought I had lost my Dingwall one night when it got left of the truck after a gig. I had spent 3 or 4 years getting it set-up just the way I like it, so I was really depressed. Fortunately as everyone else has said, it should be a pretty hard item to move without drawing attention. I'll add my own eyes to the watch as well. Best of luck in your search. :)

So, does all of this support the need for a Dingwall registry? Sheldon, I would love to hear your thoughts on all of this, since you helped recover a stolen bass. http://www.dingwallguitars.com/forum/vi ... 8&start=30 Mark

It's my fault really that I have the excel ready, but I do not know how to upload it, so that all members can register their Dingwalls. I am leaving for a rehearsal now (with a Dingwall of course) and I will be back in 6hrs. Anyone who wishes the excel should pm me to email it (anyone can create it by using the categories that I've listed)
