The story goes like this:
The band arrives at 12 noon after 4hrs of driving. We start unpacking and setting up under a hot and humid summer sky (35C and 70-80% humidity). The sound engineer (God forbid if he ever was one) just left us a PA with no monitors for the band and just 2 active monitors for the band's projection to the audience and then left

!!!. We brought the rest of the equipment (mics, cables, mic stands etc) and we set everything up by ourselves. Next to the house there was a church and there was a funeral so there was no chance for soundcheck. We left the equipment there, all set up and ready. Although i left the EA i800 and the Markbass 210 combo there, i took my padauk faced Prima with me (I always carry my DW with me, no matter what). We drove 20km to our hotel and by 8 we started driving back to the place where we'd perform. Half way there i realized i had forgotten my Prima at the hotel room!!!

. Had to drive back and get it. I made it back on time.
It was a great night and we put on a great show. I have to admit that we were completely un-rehearsed!!!! The guitar player had just gotten back from Vienna only few hours before the gig, from a research project and had not touched his guitar in 2 months!!! The keyboard player had not seen the palylist till the moment we arrived there (and he pulled all the melodies on the spot there just listening to the female singer and myself singing) and he is in the middle of his finals for his post grad degree!!! The female singer she was absent from most the rehearsals (finishing her degree as well), and myself i had not played some of the songs we were asked on the spot to perform in 10 years!!! And last but not least, the drummer had not heard the songs cause his hi-fi broke the day before i gave him the cd with the playlist.
Lesson of the day: LEAD, FOLLOW or GET OUT OF THE WAY. Those who know lead, the rest need to follow with conviction.
Here is one pic of my Prima from my cellphone. More pics to follow tomorrow. The stupid pc does not reognize my Sony DV cam and i've recorded the gig on that.
