but it's so much easier on a Dingwall. [img:3rioon4n]http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a315/guitarded99/guitarded.jpg[/img:3rioon4n]

Here's some shots from a festival my band just played, up in lovely Glasgow, Scotland - not as pretty as a yacht, but my bandmates are  (I have to say that..!) Great onstage bass sound and I must say that with "The Grizzly" (my ABII), I only ever have a great onstage sound...and a great studio sound...and a great rehearsal sound... :D

Cheers FRB! Let me know when you're in town - we're gettin' busy, so you never know your luck :D (Am still waiting to get acquainted with one of your mighty, marauding herd  ) Speaking of busy, I see you've been up to your old tricks... Dingwall-acquiring tricks that is 8) I'd love to see a pic with all of them together...and if you ever want to play "swops", let me know!!! PS. Is the red Z2 at The Gallery yours?

I'm digging the ABII, and also the drummer...looks like she's hitting the crap out of the snare. :) Mark

Ha! Yeah, she doesn't hold back! And you can't really see in that pic, but she plays standing up and there's a keyboard to her right, which she sometimes plays [i:1i85nr1u]at the same time as the drums[/i:1i85nr1u] (There's no "regular" drumming in our music, hence no hi-hat...)

Here are two shots from Friday's gig Who's a drummer's best friend (on the bandstand)? a Dingwall of course  [img:g2haz5gl]http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee282/EEF16011967/Action%20Shots/6080_118943502243_118479902243_2904.jpg[/img:g2haz5gl] We all know that the Z3 is a flashy bass really and this picture only proves that (plus it helps that no bass player steals my licks :P ) [img:g2haz5gl]http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee282/EEF16011967/Action%20Shots/Ed.jpg[/img:g2haz5gl]

Mark, Yeah that's the one. Built around April 2008 for Doug Sokoll, who sold it to me. I don't have to say that it plays nicely, as all Dingwalls do.

Damn, I'm envious of that Greenburst Frank! I have loved that particular bass ever since it "debuted" here on the forum :)

[quote="Smallmouth_Bass":3rjf8kl4]Nice setup Brim. What is that, seven monitors?[/quote:3rjf8kl4] This photo depicts the Spanish service band which is a 3-piece with 5 vocals (bass, guitar swaps between electric and acoustic, and drums). The usual Sunday morning band is a 6-piece with 5 vocals (drums, bass, 2 electrics, acoustic guitar singer, keys). The worship leader gets two monitors (because he's the boss!). Bass and 2 electrics each get their own wedge . Keys get a wedge (not pictured). Background vocals get 3 monitors to share. Drummer is in a booth with a headphone or in-ear signal. There's 3 separate monitor mixes dividing between the wedges and the drummer gets a dedicated mix from the the main board. We are seriously considering the move to in-ears for everybody. We have the system already spec'd out and money allocated to purchase. The only thing holding us back is the cost of everyone going out and getting custom ear molds made and getting some decent in-ears (triple driver etc.)

ABI in action. Not sure who took this shot, but it looks like they have a really nice camera. The Stellartone Tonestyler tone control has transformed this bass. Mark

I'm not a particular fan of the AB, but that shot really got me Mark. I might consider one in the future if this is how cool they actually look :)
