but it's so much easier on a Dingwall. [img:3rioon4n]http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a315/guitarded99/guitarded.jpg[/img:3rioon4n]

[quote="Smallmouth_Bass":281s3m5t]Yes, yes it was! And the subs were under the stage. It was so loud that I had to periodically move the monitor back into position because it was vibrating off. And I could feel the kick drum in my skull.[/quote:281s3m5t] My band Big Hotel has said "no" to a smoke machine, for now. Subs under the stage? Sounds like a nightmare. Who would do such a thing? I can't imagine a 5 or 6 piece band being able to fit. The good thing is the second night of a two night stand was really good. Even our mistakes - and how we improvised around them - sounded really good. One of those moments when everything was just on and it was a great night.

Last Saturday I was able to testdrive my new amp + cabs. AG500sc + 2 DB112's + Tonehammer Let's just say that I do not look back at my old Nemesis stack. The Aggie combines great (rock) sound, portability and a nice look. PS the gig was great according to the girls in front 8)

Yep it's a PJB 8T+ 24B with a Carvin BX1200 in bridged mode. I find the Carvin very neutral sounding, and its very tweakable preamp is more adjustment and little corrections than usual tone shaping. Coupled with the PJB stack it's just a very loud hi-fi monster... i'm in love. I'd really like to test the PJB M-500 like rollerberg !

^^ yes the 24b is big, but it has the power of two or three classic 8x10" in a more practical housing as many of them, without being heavier... and also has the sound... the sound of... nothing else ! No compromises on sound ! (ok, and now my back hurts)

Here are a couple of shots from last Saturday. This was one of those boondoggle gigs: on board a new 219 foot private yacht! The yacht is really the story. It's built like a Dingwall from stem to stern. I mean, incredible craftsmanship and beautiful in all respects. We played on the lower back deck, which was quite large, but wow did we face some wind on part of the journey (in the San Francisco Bay). Great moments when we were playing w/the Golden Gate Bridge behind us and San Francisco skyline and a dancing crowd in the foreground. We made our way under the SF/Oakland Bay Bridge where lots of other boats/ships had congregated to watch the fireworks show put on by a local radio station. Everybody on the water was rockin' in more ways than one. For yacht buffs: http://yachts.monacoeye.com/files/feads ... imedes.php

Wouldn't it be nice if it were mine and I could give you a ride. Can you imagine how much it must cost just to fill the gas tanks? It's got a crew of 17. Quite a dingy, alright.
