So I searched the forum for sound clips, and the only results were people asking for clips, or people saying that they would post clips soon. Nobody has ever actually put clips up, or even linked to Dingwall clips somewhere else. So here it is: the unofficial sound clips thread. If you know of Dingwall clips anywhere, even someone else's, please link to them.

Hey all, I wanted to let you all know that today, March 15th I will be playing live via an internet feed for church. This will be my first time taking the DW to this service and I am excited to see how it handles. It will be exciting to hear how it stacks up against a 50+ person choir, drums, keys, guitar (elec), guitar (acous), male and female lead vox. If you get a chance, at 5:30 PM/EST you can watch/listen to the service. Here is the link. If you get a chance to listen, let me know how it went. http://www.mcleanbibleinternet.org/page ... e_id=51514 Peace, Chris

Let us know when you play again. Blessings, Jeff

I stayed at the site and watched the counter from 2 1/2 hours till it started (well, actually I was doing homework). It started right from the sermon and ended right after so I didn't get to see you play. Thanks for posting anyway - I slept through my church this morning  but still got to "go" to church. :)

Hey guys. Thanks for trying to give it a look. Sorry you missed the worship portion. I am curious if something went wrong with the feed. I am glad you all enjoyed the sermon though. I will definitely let you know next time I play. Peace, Chris

Hey guys. The guitarist was able to record the service from his home computer, but the mix has virtually no bass. You can hear it in spots, but I am hoping the DVD audio is much better. Here is a link to the tracks. The link does not always work. I know it works at nights, but it does work. The second song (You Never Let Go) is probably the best mix to hear the bass. http://wdwms.homeip.net/FrontlineMp3s/2009.03.15/ The tough part about doing a mix with the choir is that our service holds about 3,000 people and the place is huge so the choir mics pickup a lot of the FOH. Anyway. Here are a couple of pics with lights on and off. These were not taken from this weekend though. Peace, Chris

Hey all. I got the clips posted on youtube if you wanna check it out. I got pretty much no face time, but the bass has some cool shots. Not the best sound (dang choir), but there are a couple tracks where you can hear the bass in the mix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db-W9idAO-U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5NVkP41FvI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYdPHzP-GjU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw4BkRdnWM4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW3oipyTIKM

I played this Sunday again with the Dingwall. Here is a link to the MP3's. The bass is real nice in this mix. Ignore the mistakes though. It was a rough night for me. By the way, this link only works at night for some goofy reason. http://wdwms.homeip.net/FrontlineMp3s/2 ... %20-%20FL/ Peace, Chris

The sound is luscious for the lack of a better term. I really enjoyed that track as well as the others you've posted. We do "The Stand" often at our church. I love detuning my low B and playing those low A's at the start (we play it a step down). Keep it up bro. Brim

First four songs here are the new demo from my band: http://www.myspace.com/daneatonband I might not be the best bass player on the planet, but I have something millions of other bass players don't have: a Dingwall. All songs are by Dan Eaton, except "House," which is mine (click that song and you'll see a pic of me with my AB1).

Adam, Really like the sound of the band and the tunes are really nice, too. As is often the case, I'd like to hear more bass in the mix! Let us know when you post some new tunes. John

Thanks, John. I've had several cracks from bass buddies along the lines of "where are the bass solos." Two words: Solo Project.

If you guys do a youtube search, and type in Hank Insell, you will find about 4 videos of him playing with his jazz band. It's not the best tone I have heard from him, but he is SUCH a monster player. I used to see him in Calgary with his band called "yomozo"....they were SO bad ass. Hank was so funky, and blowing thru some Ampeg gear was great too. I could never believe there wasn't a cover charge..lol. You can see him with his 6 string here. I believe it is an old Vodoo..but I am no expert! Hope this helps. Jiggs

Here's an oldie, but still a goody. I enjoy working with this band, the greatest people, plus I get to play as low as I want! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_VvuYjzYzg

That was pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing. Seemed to be a pretty big gig (at least compared to playing at my church of 80. LOL); cameras and everything!
