We host approximately 4 shop tours per year for Timeless Instruments School of Lutherie. www.timelessinstruments.com The tours are on Saturdays and usually run 2-3 hours. I'll post the dates here as they come up. Any forum users that are going to be in the area are welcome to join in.

Hi GrandEnigma, I tried to view your shop tour pictures, but Photobucket wouldn't let me. It said the album was private. Is there a password? Thanks, GLF

I had to go back and look. Yeah - wow - 7 knobs, 3 switches. Would love to hear about those controls.

[quote="Franco Bollo":1uv829ek]...And what's the deal with the "FRB" Z3 - voodoo body, different pickups, and 7 control knobs? And does the "FRB" imply it will be heading to our old friend Fullie in Greece? :?:[/quote:1uv829ek] I know, but I can't tell. :P

great tour!!! It was very interesting to see how a guitar shop works. I also now get a visual of how much work you put into each bass and how perfect you try to make every one. I was very impressed and now I have something to shoot for.

Importantly.... do you guys do any work? The place is clean. I don't see sawdust or shavings anywhere. Are you sure you don't take folks down into the basement where you set up a fake dingwall shop, that way you can show them what you want w/o giving away any trade secrets, plus you can hold them captive. i saw silence of the lambs- i know whats goin on.

Nice! I always enjoy this kind of stuff. There's no such thing as too much! Some of those tools look pretty interesting too. How many of them are custom builds?

Thanks, Sheldon. I've had pix the shop and various Dingwall basses/players on my screensaver slideshow for quite a while (I've saved nearly every picture of Dingwall-related stuff I've ever found). A buddy was over yesterday and saw the pix of the shop scrolling by and said, "Why do you have shots of that on your computer?" I replied, " You would have to own a Dingwall to understand." Mark
