Hello every at Dingwall guitar forum! I just installed SGD Neodymium Powered Series 3 Bass Pickups to replace FD3A stock pickups. And here is a little story: Due to Dingwall bass fan-fret system that cause special pickup orientation, Wider magnet is needed to catch all strings movement. (a lot wider from SGD's website catalouge) so I send mail to David of SGD to ask if he can make custom set for me, and answer is yes, and better than that he could make it with no extra charge, so I decided to give it a try!---5 Months of waiting....pretty sick, But last Friday I got the pickups!!! and hurry to install to see the result It's sure a very very good pickups set! First I wired it parallel for neck and series for brigde same as original, It have very hot output, much improve string to string balance, very clear, very punchy,,, enough saying. and now I installed DPDT on-on-on switch for neck pickups to have more sound option series-single coil-parallel. I'm quite impress with the overall result. I recommend this pickups for anyone who can wait a pretty long time.
