Hi all, a close friend is having severe money problems and needs to sell his baby! I tried to talk him into selling his Epiphone Les Paul. But, he needs as much $$ as he can get, and the '88 Gibson is definitely worth the most. It's been with him and played by him ONLY since he bought it new in '88. We're trying to avoid ebay if we can. He let me strum it a little, I don't and never have played anything but bass.... if I played guitar, I'd wanna play this one! I have never seen a guitar like this one, it practically plays itself. The action is so close with no buzz. The craftsmanship is unreal, there's 7 layers of alternating black and white binding around the body. And the binding on the neck tapers up to meet the fret edges, instead of the frets laying over the binding, incredible! Gibson players probably take this stuff for granted and think I'm stupid. But, I'm impressed with the little things! If anyone's interested in making a fair offer to a great guy who's hit hard times, let me know and I'll see what we can do. For reference, this IS a Custom Lite that was only made from '87 - '90, and it's a VERY rare color- flaming magenta was what Gibson called it. It's a rose-like pink color with a hint of metal flake sparkle. The Lites have a contoured body and weigh considerably less than the boat anchor (regular) Les Pauls. It has the original combination-lock HSC with matching pink lining w/ attached blanket---ultra cool! He still has the dessicant packs in the compartment! he said that today's Custom's sell for anywhere from $3500 to $6000 depending on what you get, and you definitely can't get a Magenta Lite, period! I'll add some pics soon. Thanks guys

I'm having trouble getting the pics on here. They're too large! Anyone got any suggestions? I found a pic of an old mag ad from'87 that has the guitar pictured. I'll see if it'll work for now.

Right click on your jpeg. Does it have a resize option? If so medium works most of the time.

If not google search microsoft pic resizing. There'll be a quick download to give you a resize option.
