I saw the pics on the juno Open House Announcement and the stand with the basses really show your talent and dedication (albeit only a small fraction of it). Most Ding-aholics are aware of the passion and effort put to provide us with such basses.
The Z2 though, (lower row) has a different layout that most I've seen (none in reality though). What goes on there? A prototype before the final layout, a new prototype or a one off?

the Z2 looks normal to me, but it does appare to have piezos in the bridge-hence the extra toggles (the piezo elements are gold colored) but the pict is too small to clearly make this out
what do you think is different?
it doesn't have a fancy top, which is very subtle, but i bet its killer to play

I am sure that this Z2 is a joy to hold and play. Sheldon has never failed us in all these years and I am sure this Z2 is no exeption.
I was looking at the layout. Looks like it's master volume, a toggle switch (hence my question; probably magnetic/both/piezo??), 3 pots (for the eq of OBP3?) and the 2 switches (BluEQube and mid selector???). Where is the 4 position rotary switch? any tone controls for the piezos? Active /passive for the magnetic pickups?
That's why I asked the question. Is this the normal layout for the piezo equipped Dingwalls?

Hi Fullrange,
The Z2 on the stand isn't as exotic as it looks. It's our shop test bass. We'll try out different pre-amps and pickups. In it's current state, some of the holes are plugged with black plastic plugs.

If that Z2 feels tired being the test bass and needs a loving home you know where to ship it (any special request for the bass case it will make the bass feel more appreciated??? 
)
