It's a story I've read often here: guy plays/hears a Dingwall for the first time and exclaims how much he/she loves it to pieces and thy sold their children on ebay to afford their new purchase.
Well, yesterday I played an SJ4 - my very first time playing a Dingwall and I have to succumb to the pressures of the redundant phrase: WOW, THAT BASS ROCKS! The neck was so comfortable and it was a pleasure moving around the fretboard. Probably more so since I haven't played a 4-string for a long time. I didn't need to get used to the fanned frets, my fingers just knew where to go! I didn't really understand all the knobs, but that would come with practice (and maybe a booklet or something).
My only critisism, wasn't impressed by the bass aesthetically (personal prefrence).
In short, sorry for saying what you all knew already, but I wasn't sure if I would like the SJ (

). NOW I'M A BELIEVER! Can't wait for my Combustion (can't afford anything else

)
