Nice :D It's great to finally see the list of all models, their specs, all in one place. No more brand new FD-1 pickups, heh :D. Honestly, I love the product comparison page. It was so needed, and has been done nicely. Also, the endorsers page looks much, much better that the previous one. It's so easy to navigate the site! The FAQ section, with user-submitting questions, is a great idea. The FAQ section should be moved to somewhere in the menu, it's hard to see it up there. Are the FD-34L still an option for the Z1 & Z2 models? Some ideas/problems: [list:2t0s90da][*:2t0s90da]Where a nice Dingwall icon besides the url? You can't have a brand new site without a brand new icon :)[/*:m:2t0s90da] [*:2t0s90da]The "Products" button should automatically redirect to the "Dingwall specifications" page. Some people (me included) have javascript blocked on every site not on a safe-list. I'd have to add Dingwall guitars to this safe-list to browse models. Of course I've done that, but I usually don't bother doing so on sites I'm visiting the first time.[/*:m:2t0s90da] [*:2t0s90da]About the Media->Photos section: how about adding an option to fan-submit pics? Any pics submitted would have to be inspected before being published, and someone would have to moderate that section every now and then.. But imagine an ever-growing section of smiling people loving their Dingwalls on stage :) Really, consider that.[/*:m:2t0s90da] [*:2t0s90da]There really should be a link to the Dealers page under the Purchase menu. It took me some time to find it up there.[/*:m:2t0s90da] [*:2t0s90da]The pics at [url:2t0s90da]http://www.dingwallguitars.com/products/z-series/[/url:2t0s90da] are all stretched and look really bad. I'm using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3 on Windows 7, and I don't believe any addons I have interfere. Also, I don't know if you wanted to have them on that order (Z3, Z2, Z1). The AB-series page has the three ABs reversed as well.. so I guess it was intended.[/*:m:2t0s90da] [*:2t0s90da]ABZ, AB-I and AB-II share the same gallery page. They should be separated to avoid confusion. On a related note, the Combustion pics are only of the "alpha" version, they aren't any pics of the actual model online.[/*:m:2t0s90da] [*:2t0s90da]It's great that you can inquire about prices through a special form. The models list is too grouped (for example, there should be a difference in inquiring about an ABZ or an AB-II).[/*:m:2t0s90da] [*:2t0s90da]There's a typo here[/url:2t0s90da]: [i:2t0s90da]We take neck construction very seriously due to my extensive experience in guitar repairs[/i:2t0s90da] should be [i:2t0s90da]We take neck construction very seriously due to [b:2t0s90da]our[/b:2t0s90da] extensive experience in guitar repairs[/i:2t0s90da]. The same thing happens once more in that post, and it's possible there are other instances. Also, here[/url:2t0s90da] it says 'G!ockenklang'. By the way, these texts are so great. Maybe making excepts available on model pages, instead of having to click on the little links in the Products comparison page? That would make them more visible.[/*:m:2t0s90da][/list:u:2t0s90da] Wow, that was long. I love the site, kudos :) EDIT: To Sheldon: I've just seen the new thread you opened. Us non-administrators cannot post in the thread you posted in the News subforum. You could lift the permissions, but maybe it's easier to just continue here. Either way is ok. Congratulations again :)

Awesome-- I like it too. the website gets updated once every 3yrs. Right on schedule....... I use safari on Mac OSX10.6, the website is justified to the left margin, not centered on the page A few other points of consideration you should consider some back bottoms, to get folks back 1 page. The comparison page is extensive, IMHO almost too long. I know it required me to scroll down almost 3 pages deep. wow overall-- very nice

The new site looks great - lots of nice features - I'm sure it was a labor of love! I just took a brief look, but did notice the top dropdown menus linger and overlap one another. I'll continue to look it over the coming days. Good job to all who contributed. Denys (aka Loungesurfer)

I also really like the new site. It made my day to see my green Z2 appear on the front page! I may not be famous but at least one of my basses is. :D

I love the new site. Congradulations! Did I notice some Z1 pics in the PA gallery? Huge improvement over the old site, but where are the combustion photos? :)

For now you can click on the logo to get back to the home page.
The comparison page is extensive, IMHO almost too long. I may drag a lot of the photos from the still paying dues thread from the forum.

The new site is awesome, and it was definitely needed. I wish all this info and all of these photos had been up when I was shopping for a bass a year and a half ago. I also like seeing my Z in the gallery :D

I've seen some new ABZ pics, it's a looker. However, the AB gallery really should be split into 3 distinct galleries. If I were a new visitor I'd have a hard time recognizing which pic is of which model.

Hi Sheldon, really glad to see the new updated site! It is a much more satisfying experience now. The info is better, the graphics are better, and the navigation is better... just "better" all around. Cool! Note: I'm glad to see my ABII made the gallery as well. That's super cool! :D

I've been looking forward to this for a long while. The heart of the site, the specs grid, looks great and is a wealth of information. Just what someone needs to compare and contrast! One small quibble: If the model header could stay at the top of the column while the chart scrolls underneath, that would make it easier to keep the various columns clearly in mind. I see that a small column designation is in the chart about every page depth, but it blends in with the information. Maybe just making that label a bright shiny Dingwall gold would make it pop out. For example, if the picture and Super J header is always in view above the specs column. My 2 cents (US). Great job!

[/quote:3itxmevw] A suggestion for the little "More..." links on the comparison page: since these only contain a sentence or two of explanation about that particular feature, it might be suited to a small css popup or collapsible section rather than taking you to a whole new page. In fact, if you are worried about length of the comparison table, you could collapse groups of features in this way, so all the information is still there but condensed.

Might want to double check some of the mm-inch conversions on the comparison page.
