What's going on, everyone?

I got my first Dingwall over the weekend, and have already found myself on this forum researching a few tech questions, so I figured I might as well sign up and say hi. My name's Drew, I live in the Boston area, I'm primarily a guitarist (bluesy instrumental rock stuff, mostly seven strings) but I picked up a bass a number of years ago to record with and have slowly been moving up to nicer and nicer stuff since then.
This is my Dingwall. Sorry for the rough picture, my camera takes awful pictures indoors:

You guys probably know a lot more about the specs than I do, but 5-string Afterburner, rosewood board (with an interesting grain pattern - very even and linear), what looks like an alder body, Dingwall pickups, and whatever that EQ switch is.
I'm still dialing in the setup and whatnot, but so far I'm really digging how this thing plays and sounds (especially the two pickups series position, which is seriously punchy). This is my first fanned fret instrument, and for the most part the fan is pretty easy to get used to, though I've actually had some trouble in the first few positions jumping between the low B and higher notes on the same fret. It's coming though. I'm actually a pretty awful bassist (I'm a guitarist, and play bass like a guitarist) so I'm taking this as a good excuse to teach myself how to play bass properly - I'm just starting to get calluses on my fretting hand.

One of the things I'd ended up here looking for was information on strings that work with a Dingwall's longer scale (it's funny, my last bass was a 35" with an unusually long body and headstock so finding strings was a problem and I never found a case that would fit - I vowed if I ever replaced it it'd be for a 34" P-Bass or something easy; clearly the problem here is I just have kind of esoteric taste in gear, haha, because I certainly screwed that one up). I've currently got a set of D'Addario Super Long EXPs on it, and the D'Addarios aren't QUITE long enough:

...however I'm getting zero fret buzz on the open B on an otherwise very low setup, so they seem to work anyway. The Elixirs I'd just pulled off my last bass looked like they would be JUST long enough, but for a guy who spends most of his time with a 25.5" guitar with either a 46 low E or a 68 low B, a 37" .130 is pretty damned tight so I'd like to find a coated string a little lighter.
Anyway, pleasure to be here, fellas, and so far I'm really happy with this bass.
