I've kept quiet about these until now. We've shipped our first bass featuring our new knob design. The old molds were needing replacement and the old master was getting worn so we spent some time and re-designed the knob. It's got a slightly domed top now with a really cool indicator. The diameter is larger by 1 mm for better grip.

All in all I'm stoked.

Thanks to Brant and John over at AJ Plastics for the help with this one.

I'd like to buy 3 for my ABZ 5 will they fit?

By the way Sheldon, the volume knob on my new ABZ is actually quite loose and you can pull it out effortlessly, I was wondering if it's a known problem or bad luck, the other 2 (pickup selector and tone control) are very firmly in place and don't fall out like the volume one, any suggestions please?

Thanks

Is it supposed to look this worn from underneath? Looks like it was cut/chiselled with a pocket knife :D

We've discontinued push-on knobs for some time now. You can tighten up the fit by bending the shaft halves slightly apart with a flat blade screw driver. That countersink is pretty uncommon. I can only imagine that the assembler needed to adjust the clearance with a countersink bit.

I'd be happy to replace the knob with a set-screw style one. Email me your mailing address.

No, just our webstore. https://www.dingwallguitars.com/purchas ... et-5-copy/

Postage would be a little high on just the knobs but if you bulk up the order with a few more items it starts to get reasonable.
