Seeing as the standard long scale Dingwalls run a scale length of 37" to 34" (on the 5-strings) and the short or more traditional scale length models (Super J & Super P) run 35" to 32", have you ever considered a middle scale length model at 36" to 33"?

Hey-- I can tell you my SuperJ prototype has a 36.25" E and a 33" G, it was essentially 1 fret length shy of the full long scale dingwall. I think Sheldon wanted to go the length of 2 frets shorter for the production run superJ frank

Interesting. The 4 strings are 36.25-34" scale, so similar.

Funny you should mention the Super series being 2 frets shorter because that's one of the big differences between the two scale length models and exactly how I describe it.

I haven't thought about other scale lengths in quite a while. I'm not sure where we'd slot that scale in.
