Just curious, Sheldon: what's your take on this wood for bass bodies? It's widely regarded as the Holy Grail of guitar tone woods, and if the same magic applies to basses, it might be worth considering for the D-Bird discussed (and eagerly hoped for!) elsewhere.

I've never played with the stuff. I will at some point. The thing to remember is that it's just one ingredient. Holy Grail or not it will only change the tone by a fraction.
